China signs cooperation agreements with 69 entities under Belt and Road
BEIJING - The number of countries, regions, and international organizations that have signed cooperation agreements with China on the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative has reached 69, the country's top economic planner said Thursday.
The agreements consist of cooperation deals in various fields, including infrastructure construction, financial collaboration, and cultural exchanges, said a spokesperson with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
Some key infrastructure projects, including the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway, have seen fast development with the active participation of Chinese companies, said the spokesperson.

Before the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Africa relations were guided by the Forum on China Africa Cooperation. So now, because everyone is talking about Belt and Road, FOCAC is becoming one of the important mechanisms under the general framework of the initiative, says Professor He Wenping.
"Compared with countries in South Asia, Latin America or Central Europe, I think Africa has advantages because China and Africa have very strong and very effective mechanisms like FOCAC," says He, director of African studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

To Supply New 33kV Subsea Power Cable in South Australia by ZTT Currently, ZTT Group - leading global manufacturer of cable systems, was awarded by Fugro-TSM Pty Ltd (FTSM) to supply one 15.3 km 33kV XLPE insulated submarine composite cable to Kangaroo island. It will be the third submarine composite cable by end user SA Power Networks (SAPN) to connect southern Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Adelaide and the island, which is with a population of 4,500 and attracts many tourists every year. The new 33kV cable will be able to transmit 20 MVA to replace old 33kV one with transmission capacity of 10 MVA.
